The Moment Elun Musk Realized His Heroes Didn't Believe in Him

There is no weapon sharper than the betrayal of a mentor. Elon Musk once sat through a 60 Minutes interview, visibly wounded, admitting how painful it was to watch his heroes, Neil Armstrong and Gene Cernan, publicly tear down his SpaceX vision. But Musk was lucky—his heroes never pretended to be his allies. You did. You took the role of my mentor, gained my trust, and then weaponized it to form an allegiance meant to bury me. It wasn't just criticism; it was an active assassination of my character to anyone who would listen. You tried to paint me black, but you forgot that the darkest nights only make the launch more visible. Hold onto your doubts tightly. I have one bet for you and the alliance you built: watch me succeed, and let the shock of my rise be your quiet punishment. And at the right time, the world will hear the story. Keep going. And God Bless you for what you did to me.
